SAVE OUR SOUL (SOS): ALLEGED ABUSE OF POWER AND LAND ENCROACHMENT BY ADRON HOMES AND PROPERTIES AND THE ONIKUNGUNRE FAMILY IN AYETORO, SAGAMU

Land grabbing by the powerful at the expense of the vulnerable has long been a menace in Nigeria. However, the alleged recent activities of Adron Homes and Properties, in connivance with the Onikungunre family of Sagamu, have taken this unlawful practice to an alarming level. The forceful encroachment on lands legally owned by residents of Oloke Road, off Ogunyanwo Road, Aiyetoro Makun, Sagamu, Ogun State, has now become a clear case of impunity, abuse of power, and a threat to public peace and security.

For years, residents have raised concerns over the disregard for due process exhibited by some members of the Onikungunre family, including Baba John, Agunloye Rafiu Anna, and Mr. J.K, who are allegedly notorious for selling the same parcels of land to multiple buyers and backing their activities with thugs, intimidation, and fetish practices to favor the highest bidders.

Recently, Adron Homes, allegedly backed by Agunloye Rafiu Anna and hired armed thugs, reportedly invaded the community on multiple occasions in an attempt to seize legally owned properties belonging to innocent and law-abiding citizens.

One of the victims, Mrs. Osobu Henrietta, an 83-year-old retired nurse, narrated her heartbreaking ordeal. She purchased six plots of land from the Onikungunre family in 2013 and built homes for her children, Mrs. Williams Adejumoke and Mr. Folorunso Adetola. Today, she watches helplessly as her lifelong investment and legacy are allegedly threatened by Adron Homes’ aggressive encroachment.

Several other residents report similar experiences.
Mr. Ojo Olamilekan, who purchased his land on February 2nd, 2016, was shocked to discover on November 11, 2025, that Adron Homes’ workers had allegedly entered his property without notice, pegging boundaries and attempting to create an access road through his land. His findings revealed that the invasion was allegedly carried out by Adron staff, some members of the Onikungunre family , including Oriyomi Onikungunre , and hired thugs.

Another victim, Mr. Abayomi Temitope, a retired teacher, is distraught as his legitimately acquired land now faces possible forceful takeover. Likewise, Mrs. Grace Omojuwa, an elderly resident, has appealed to Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji, Member of the Federal House of Representatives for Remo Federal Constituency, to intervene urgently.

Sources further revealed that Adron Homes allegedly attempted to negotiate access to a nearby estate owned by another realtor but were denied. This reportedly led to their decision to force an alternative passage through the Aiyetoro Oloke community, thereby jeopardizing several privately owned properties.

Our findings also show that the properties of Mr. Towobola Kehinde, Mrs. Atojoko Eke Victoria (who owns a poultry farm with 3,000 birds), and many others are under imminent threat, despite ongoing construction and valid documents in their possession.

The victims are making a passionate Save Our Soul (SOS) appeal to:

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, the Inspector-General of Police,  Kayode Egbetokun, Senator Gbenga Daniel , Ogun State Commissioner of Police,  Sagamu Local Government Chairman, Ogun State House of Assembly, Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture and the Akarigbo of Remo Land.

They are urging these authorities to intervene swiftly and decisively to restrain Adron Homes and the Onikungunre family from their alleged illegal activities, and to protect innocent landowners who have complied with all legal requirements.

This rising wave of lawlessness must not be allowed to continue.
The voices of the powerless and defenseless citizens of Oloke and Ogunyanwo Road, Aiyetoro, Sagamu must be heard before injustice becomes the new normal.
