911 COMMUNITY LEAGUE CONCLUDES MAIDEN EDITION WITH A COLOURFUL AND BEFITTING GRAND FINALE

The maiden edition of the 911 Community League came to a thrilling close over the weekend, delivering an atmosphere of sportsmanship, unity, and community pride.

The well-attended finale showcased the best of grassroots football in Ifako Ijaiye Local Government, drawing notable dignitaries, stakeholders, and enthusiastic supporters from across the constituency.

In attendance was Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji, OON Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ifako Ijaiye Constituency 01, whose presence reinforced his continuous commitment to youth development and sporting advancement.

Also present was Hon. Opeyemi Alabi, Senior Special Adviser (SSA) to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who commended the organisers for promoting community engagement through sports.

Other distinguished leaders in attendance included Apex Leader Engineer Akin Fadayomi, Hon. Oluwole Michael Sholola (Okito) Majority Leader of the 7th Legislative Arm of Ifako Ijaiye LGA, Hon. Aregbesola Sofiat Ajoke Councillor representing Ward C1, Hon. Adegbayibi John Deji Councillor representing Ward D and Chief Tobi Seesi (Japasin JP), alongside several other community leaders who came to grace the memorable occasion.

The highly competitive league reached its peak as Oyum FC from Orimolade emerged champions, clinching the ₦1,000,000 grand prize. Isokan Community secured second place with a ₦500,000 reward, while 2gedanness FC finished third, taking home a ₦200,000 cash prize.

The tournament celebrated exceptional individual talents, including Olamilekan (Papa) of Ultimate Idiagbon FC, who emerged as the Highest Goal Scorer with an impressive 23 goals in 13 matches, He received the sum of ₦150,000 cash prize, along with special gifts from Sharp Paints and VivaPay.

The Best Goalkeeper Award went to the youngest goalkeeper from 2gedanness FC, who was presented with brand-new goalkeeper gloves as a gesture of encouragement and investment in his promising future.

Keya FC od Karaole claimed the Best Team Prize receiving ₦150,000, while the Best Player Award was jointly won by Milito of Ultimate Idiagbon FC and Adeoye of Oyum FC.

The convener of the league, Ajibola Balogun popularly called 911, expressed profound gratitude to God and to all stakeholders for the overwhelming cooperation received. He appreciated the 14 participating teams for their discipline, dedication, and commitment throughout the competition.

He further assured residents that the second edition of the 911 Community League will be bigger, more inclusive, and will feature full participation from all wards within Ifako Ijaiye Local Government.

The 911 Community League is a grassroots football initiative aimed at discovering young talents, promoting unity, and empowering youths across Ifako Ijaiye LGA through competitive sporting activities.
