Super Falcons Set for Portugal Friendly Ahead of Morocco AFCON

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face Portugal’s senior women’s national team in a friendly match in Lisbon on Monday, June 24, 2024, as part of their preparations for the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Match Will hold at Estádio José Gomes, Amadora, Lisbon on Monday, June 24, 2024 by 7 pm (Portugal time, same as Nigeria).

The New Zealand-born Michelle Alozie, Saud Arabia-based Ashleigh Plumptre, captain Rasheedat Ajibade, and fellow midfielders Halimatu Ayinde, Jennifer Echegini, and Toni Payne will team up with the team at the training camp in the Portuguese capital.

The Super Falcons will also face Ghana’s Black Queens in another friendly match on June 29 in Morocco, ahead of the AFCON tournament. The team will tackle Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria in Group B of the competition.

The Falcons have been preparing intensively for the tournament, with training sessions at the MKO Abiola National Stadium and Turf Arena. The team is determined to win their 10th continental title.
