HON. SANYA OLUSEGUN OLUMOSE SUPERVISES DESILTING OF SOCIAL CLUB ROAD DRAINAGE IN ABULE-EGBA

The Honourable Councillor representing Ward C in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Sanya Olusegun Olumose, on Friday, February 20, 2026, conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing desilting and clearing of the drainage channel along Social Club Road, Abule-Egba, Lagos.

The intervention, approved by the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro LCDA, Barrister Oluyemisi Rosiji, underscores the administration’s commitment to delivering people-focused governance and the dividends of democracy to residents at the grassroots.

The drainage system, which had been heavily blocked and contributed to recurrent flooding during rainfall, is currently being cleared to restore proper water flow, mitigate environmental risks, and provide lasting relief to residents and road users within the community.

Working in collaboration with the Ojokoro LCDA Department of Environment, Hon. Olumose monitored the progress of the project, reaffirming his dedication not only as the elected representative of Ward C but also as a concerned stakeholder committed to sustainable development and long-term environmental solutions for the community.

During the inspection, Hon. Olumose commended Barrister Rosiji for her prompt approval of the project and unwavering dedication to grassroots development. He described the Council Chairman as “a mother with listening ears,” always attentive and responsive to the needs and concerns of the people.

He also expressed appreciation to the Ojokoro LCDA Department of Environment for their swift action and professionalism in addressing the environmental challenge, noting that such proactive measures are essential in building a cleaner, safer, and more resilient Ojokoro LCDA.

The ongoing drainage desilting project reflects the administration’s broader commitment to environmental sustainability, infrastructure maintenance, and improved living conditions for all residents.
