LASCOTA Ifako-Ijaiye Chapter Endorses Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat and Awoniyi-Akerele for Second Term

The Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA), Ifako-Ijaiye Chapter, has officially endorsed the re-election bid of Executive Chairman Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat (UAH) and his Vice Chairman, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Awoniyi-Akerele.

The endorsement ceremony, held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Council Secretariat in Idiagbon on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, drew a large gathering of artisans, council executives, and dignitaries.

Chairman of LASCOTA Ifako-Ijaiye, Comrade Akeem Olasode, praised UAH’s grassroots development efforts and consistent support for the artisan community.

The artisans declared their unwavering backing for the “Prosperity 2025” campaign and pledged total support for the continuity of the Hamzat-led administration.

In response, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat expressed gratitude to the artisans for their endorsement and ongoing support.

UAH reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development and promised to further strengthen socio-economic initiatives that will benefit the entire Ifako-Ijaiye community.

The endorsement comes ahead of the local government election scheduled for July 12.

Attendees at the event included: Hon. Victor Onifade, Leader of the Ifako-Ijaiye Legislative Arm,
Hon. Kolawole Fasusi (Mr. Bachel), Secretary to the Local Government, Executive Council members and Respected community figures.

The endorsement is seen as a significant boost to UAH and Awoniyi-Akerele’s re-election bid, with the artisans’ support expected to play a crucial role in the upcoming election.
