Super Eagles Receive Warm Welcome in Bloemfontein Ahead of World Cup Qualifier Against South Africa

The Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, arrived in Bloemfontein, South Africa, on Sunday evening, ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against the Bafana Bafana.
The team was warmly welcomed at the Bloemfontein Airport by Nigerian officials, including His Excellency Tope Ajayi, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to South Africa, and Sir Adeyinka Adeboye, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development.

The team is set to train at the Toyota Stadium on Monday at 6 pm local time (5 pm Nigeria time) in preparation for the high-stakes match.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be playing South African Bafana Bafana on tuesday 9th of September 2025 by 5pm GMT at the Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein South Africa.
