LAGOS DECIDES 2026: RETURN AMBODE OR KADIRI HAMZAT FOR GOVERNOR

As the political landscape in Lagos intensifies ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial elections, a growing wave of public discourse reveals a clear pattern: the preferences of Lagosians appear largely divided between two prominent figures — Akinwunmi Ambode and Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat.

Across communities, professional groups, and political circles, conversations around leadership continuity, performance, and future direction have brought these two seasoned administrators to the forefront of public consideration.

Akinwunmi Ambode, who served as Governor from 2015 to 2019, is widely remembered for his infrastructural strides, fiscal discipline, and urban renewal initiatives.
